I have checked out events like Affiliate Summit in Las Vegas, and they look like amazing networking and learning opportunities. Have you ever attended such an event? Was it worth the time or expense?

Nope, too far away for me. Though there is a World Internet Summit or something that's held regularly in Singapore. But I missed the 2 times it was held here.

Affiliate Summit always getting hot but I never attend any international affiliate marketing conference, just local event in my country.

I'm going to the 2nd annual Canada Marketing Summit 2010 in Vancouver Sept 23-26, 2010. Speakers include Mark Victor Hansen of Chicken Soup for the Soul fame, Maria Gudelis, Lee McIntyre, Dan Lok plus 11 more speakers. There's also an Early Bird price. Should be good, esp if it's in one's hometown.

How do you go about getting starting affiliate marketing?I want to know where is a good site to go to learn about affiliate marketing for free,any start up costs, a good site to obtain the affiliate marketing software,and whatever else to expect or anything helpful. I will most certainly award 10 points for the best answer.

Unfortunately I also did not attend any conference on affiliate marketing so far.However I heard there are some virtual conference in the web that held in different times a year.I am waiting for those conference.
